I can't believe a whole year has gone by since I decided to take the WHISK and start my cooking classes! When everything shut down and I realized more people were home and cooking (or wanting to learn how to), I decided it was a great opportunity to not only show others how to cook delicious AND nutritious foods, but to have fun and spread joy while doing it in whatever way I could!
I started on Facebook Live and quickly converted to Zoom where I still continue to host these fun virtual cooking classes. I wasn't sure what was going to happen over the past year - with life in general, for the world, for you, for me, my family, my business, but I decided I was going to do what I could to make the best out of the situation no matter what.
12 months. 12 months of creating exciting recipes. 12 months of cooking new recipes. 12 months of sharing these recipes. I wasn't sure where this was going to go when I started but I love what has become of it. Each month has a new theme with a main meal, appetizer, or dessert and a cocktail.
I have met people from across the United States, been hired to host virtual birthday parties, girl scout troop cooking classes, private lessons and corporate cooking happy hours and teambuilding. I take pride in the recipes I have created and love each and every one of them. I decided to share that love with you by offering a special one year anniversary celebration virtual "cookbook" with all of my recipes from throughout the year. The recipes that are included are listed below. All of them can easily be made gluten-free and dairy-free (it's how I make all of my recipes), or not. I believe everyone should eat balanced and not cut food groups if you don't medically need to. All foods can fit in a healthy diet. Unfortunately, I have to avoid gluten and also limit myself with dairy, so my goal is to provide healthy, gluten-free/dairy-free recipes so EVERYONE can enjoy all foods, even if you do have to cut out certain food groups. My recipes are encouraged for everyone to eat, not just for those with sensitivities/allergies! Most of my recipes can be easily converted by using real dairy and whole-wheat in place of my allergy-free substitutes.
