Oh. My. Gosh. I love this stuff. It is very addicting. It is my favorite thing to eat when I go to Chuys or Hula Hut but it makes me feel sick because it is so creamy and rich (dairy). I came up with a solution…Homemade VEGAN Chuys Jalapeno Ranch Dip. My parents came in this past weekend and instead of going out to eat for dinner I decided it would be nice to stay in. I served 3 different types of salsa with blue corn tortilla chips for everyone to munch on while Josh and I prepared dinner. We made a healthy shrimp salad and topped it with this dip…what a hit! No one knew it was vegan, but everyone loved it! Try it for yourself and let me know what you think! It can also be made with regular Greek yogurt if you don't want it to be vegan. This dip is great and WAY less calories and fat and you can eat a bigger serving versus the restaurant dip.

I believe everyone should eat balanced and not cut food groups if you don't medically need to. All foods can fit in a healthy diet. Unfortunately, I have to avoid gluten and also limit myself with dairy, so my goal is to provide healthy, gluten-free/dairy-free recipes so EVERYONE can enjoy all foods, even if you do have to cut out certain food groups. My recipes are encouraged for everyone to eat, not just for those with sensitivities/allergies! Most of my recipes can be easily converted by using real dairy and whole-wheat in place of my allergy-free substitutes.
